For several generations, the watchmakers of A. Lange & Söhne have pursued one goal: to craft timepieces that represent the pinnacle of international watchmaking artistry. At its Glashütte manufacture, the Maison crafts only a few thousand wristwatches per year, each endowed exclusively with proprietary movements that are lavishly decorated and twice assembled by hand. With 73 manufacture calibres developed since 1990, Lange has secured a top-tier position among the world’s finest watch Maisons.

Unforgettable masterpieces

Icons include Lange 1, the first regularly produced wristwatch with an outsize date, and the Zeitwerk, with its precisely jumping numerals. Extraordinary complications such as Zeitwerk Minute Repeater, Triple Split and Grand Complication reinforce the Maison’s credo to “never stand still”.

Introduced in 2013, the Grand Complication represents the drive of traditional watchmaking to ever-new heights. The sporty yet elegant Odysseus, introduced in 2019, marked the start of a new chapter.

  • Luminescence – new elegance All displays of the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” are luminous and therefore also ensure unambiguous readings in the dark. The meticulously orchestrated interplay of larger and more filigreed luminescent surfaces creates an elegant, nuanced ambience of light.   • Perpetual calendar – a different approach The calendar indications of the watch are arranged in an unconventional way: the months are indicated with a peripheral ring that switches at the end of the month. The display is complemented with the typical Lange outsize date and a retrograde day-of-week display on the left side of the dial. The leap year appears in a small aperture at 6 o’clock.   • Complex mechanics ‒ elegant personality Limited to 50 pieces, the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” in platinum fuses traditional watchmaking artistry with contemporary design. Thanks to the semi-transparent dial and numerous subtly nuanced luminous elements, all the displays are also legible in the dark. Apart from the eponymous complications, the new highly complex manufacture calibre L225.1 features further functional particularities, among which the stop seconds for the tourbillon, a peripheral month ring and the Lange outsize date.
