Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 Astronomy meets Geneva watchmaking excellence

Roger Dubuis translates the movements of the sky into new horological creations at the crossroads of celestial observation and Genevan savoir-faire.

The Maison presents four timepieces that translate celestial cycles: a biretrograde perpetual calendar in pink gold powered by the new RD850 calibre, a steel biretrograde calendar dressed in Cosmic Blue, a perpetual calendar paired for the first time with the patented Quatuor mechanism, and a central tourbillon conceived within the Rarities programme.

  • Since 2024, the fourth book of the Knights of the Round Table has followed Merlin through his powers. The Omniscient Merlin gave him sight of all things. The Enchanter Merlin turned to his mystical arts. The Metamorph Merlin grants him the freedom to change form, and closes the book. Shaped in the same hexagonal architecture drawn from the Giant’s Causeway, three dials with distinct colors and materials create three unique atmospheres for the twelve Knights’ journey. Ref.   • The story continues through the open caseback of The Metamorph Merlin. The skeletonised oscillating weight of the RD821 Calibre borrows its lines from the stained-glass windows of medieval castles. The automatic movement carries 172 components and 48 hours of power reserve. Every surface of every component receives one of the 14 finishes applied at the Manufacture, keeping up with the Poinçon de Genève certification. Ref. RDDBEX1118 #RogerDubuis
  • The twelve knights of The Metamorph Merlin are cast in pink gold, then handed to a specialist engraver who sculpts, engraves and patinates every one of them until it holds its own posture and its own personality. Up to three days of work for a single figure six millimetres tall. Multiplied by twelve, that is several weeks of an engraver’s time on the dial alone. Black patina deepens the relief.
