Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 Astronomy meets Geneva watchmaking excellence

Roger Dubuis translates the movements of the sky into new horological creations at the crossroads of celestial observation and Genevan savoir-faire.

The Maison presents four timepieces that translate celestial cycles: a biretrograde perpetual calendar in pink gold powered by the new RD850 calibre, a steel biretrograde calendar dressed in Cosmic Blue, a perpetual calendar paired for the first time with the patented Quatuor mechanism, and a central tourbillon conceived within the Rarities programme.

  • The dial of The Metamorph Merlin takes the hexagonal language of the Giant’s Causeway, introduced in the first chapter, and leads it into Brocéliande. Green CVD-coated glass, polished pink gold, transparent glass and Crystalium sit at different heights, shot-blasted here, polished there, so that the light shifts as the wrist moves. The composition suggests the forest through architecture, materials and reflections, and reveals a new detail at every look. Ref. RDDBEX1118 #RogerDubuis
  • Along the case of The Metamorph Merlin, an engraver has worked Merlin in his two natures. The wise figure holding a book first, a discreet nod to the of the first chapter. Then the white stag, symbol of metamorphosis and of the passage between the visible and the invisible. Each scene is cut in micro-relief then finished by hand in pink gold, a task that takes the engraver around seventy hours per case. Sword-shaped guards frame the crown, and the crown itself takes the green of the forest. Ref. RDDBEX1118 #RogerDubuis
  • The Metamorph Merlin closes the trilogy of The Knights of the Round Table, the one devoted to the wizard of the Arthurian legend. After his omniscience in 2024 and his enchantments in 2025, this third chapter turns to his power to change shape, and to the white stag of Brocéliande that carries its symbolism. A dial of 57 blocks in deep green recreates the forest where Merlin took many forms. Twelve knights hold their positions around it. And for the first time in the collection, the pink gold case is engraved by hand. Limited to 28 pieces. Ref. RDDBEX1118 #RogerDubuis
