  • A Dazzling Spectacle

As the year culminates in joyous celebrations, the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle moon phase is a timeless example of high jewellery and horological artistry, where every facet sparkles with unparalleled brilliance. Its dial is transformed by a captivating snow setting of 548 meticulously placed round-cut diamonds, creating a seamless, melting-into-light effect. This fine diamond pavé extends across the entire timepiece, with a total of 795 diamonds, approximately 4.8 carats, adorning the bezel, case, lugs, and crown – a true testament to virtuoso gem-setting skills.

Certified by the Hallmark of Geneva, the Traditionnelle moon phase embodies the Maison's unwavering commitment to excellence in both horology and high jewellery, offering a radiant expression of timeless elegance to celebrate the season.

  • Crafting the Cosmos

The two Les Cabinotiers Celestia Astronomical Grand Complication single-piece editions each underwent 240 hours of champlevé engraving, where master artisans meticulously sculpt the case of each piece to express a different vision of the cosmos. The Ptolemy timepiece features a hand engraving of the planets orbiting the Earth in the form of a planisphere surrounding the crown, while the Copernicus timepiece depicts the Sun, symbolised by the crown, radiating its rays onto the case and lugs.

From hollowing out spaces to polishing ridges and creating domed planets, every detail is executed with microscopic precision, often in depths of mere tenths of a millimetre. This intricate handcraft, combined with weeks of assembly and adjustment, bring to life masterpieces where every component, visible or hidden, reflects the Maison's unwavering commitment to excellence.

  • Dual Visions of the Cosmos

The two unique, double-sided timepieces of Les Cabinotiers Celestia Astronomical Grand Complication are part of the 'La Quête' series celebrating the Maison's 270th anniversary. The 'Homage to Ptolemy' model is available in 18K white gold, while the 'Homage to Copernicus' one is available in 18K 5N pink gold.

Each showcases 23 astronomical complications powered by the Manufacture Calibre 3600, which comprises 514 finely adjusted and meticulously decorated components. The double-sided calibre represents not only a significant technical achievement but also, with a thickness of only 8.7 mm, a notable feat of miniaturisation.

As the season of reflection and wonder approaches, marked by the winter solstice on December 21st in the Northern Hemisphere, a celestial turning point when the Earth's tilt ushers in the longest night and shortest day, these masterpieces stand as a beacon of human ingenuity and artistic dedication. They invite contemplation of the universe's grandeur and the Maison's timeless craft, reflecting an unwavering commitment to excellence for seasons to come.
