Effortless femininity

Chloé was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisian who liberated women from the formal fashion of the era by pioneering luxury ready-to-wear. A true visionary, Gaby believed that women should dare to be themselves.

Today, the Maison is a leading luxury French fashion house, which continues to embrace the founder’s vision of free-spirited femininity and effortlessness under the creative direction of Chemena Kamali.

Homo Faber 2026: An Island of Light Exploring untapped potential

At Homo Faber 2026, Chloé presents a piece that was created as an exploration of raffia’s untapped potential, in collaboration with Madagascar-based studio Made For A Woman. While the raffia fibre has long been associated with traditional craftsmanship in Madagascar, it is rarely used as a structural material within collectible design. The project therefore began with a simple question: how far could raffia be pushed while remaining true to its origins? The creation is an invitation to reconsider the material and the furniture object.
