Van Cleef & Arpels continues its support of Juliette Agnel's photography with exhibition 'What the Garden Whispers'

22 October 2026

From 28 August to 19 December 2026, What the Garden Whispers presents Juliette Agnel’s new exploration of the living world. This exhibition, curated by Emmanuelle de L’Ecotais, showcases some 20 of her photographs in the splendor of the Convent Garden of the Most Holy Redeemer. From 10 November 2026 until 27 January 2027, an additional selection will be exhibited at Le Stanze della Fotografia.

The Orto Giardino del Redentore was recently restored by Venice Gardens Foundation with the support of patrons, among which Van Cleef & Arpels. This project is part of the Maison’s global garden restoration programme that embodies its long-term commitment towards nature, a main source of inspiration since its foundation.

When Juliette Agnel first stepped into the previously hidden space in early 2026, she instantly felt its distinctive energy. Over time, a unique temporal rhythm has presided over this natural space, where each whisper becomes a blend of the three essential elements of gardens: floral, vegetable and medicinal. To capture this vitality, the artist wandered through the garden paths day and night. Silences, tinglings, indistinguishable movements… Her photography, showcased within the Antiche Officine (Sala della falegnameria) of the Convent Garden, invites the public to see with new eyes and to discover a microcosm in its rebirth.

This exhibition is part of Van Cleef & Arpels’ continued support for Juliette Agnel, which began with the 2023 Photo Days festival. In November 2025, the Maison invited her to take over the workshop of L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, in Paris, to present  La susceptibilité des Roches, an exhibition on the theme of minerals. From April to May 2026, Van  Cleef  &  Arpels presented The Scent of Light, Juliette Agnel’s exhibition during the Kyotographie International Photography Festival.

What the Garden Whispers continues this commitment to the artist. A new perspective on the Convent Garden’s intrinsic splendor is revealed here through her lens.
