The Panerai brand history

Since 1860 Giovanni Panerai opened his watchmaker’s shop on Ponte alle Grazie in Florence, as the city’s first watchmaking school. For many decades, Panerai supplied the Royal Italian Navy with precision instruments to meet the most rigorous military standards. Today, the very essence of Panerai remains the creation of innovations and remarkable instruments at Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

  • Two watches. One journey through time.

The new Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience Set — PAM01729 and PAM01730 — marks our very first Experience with two watches.

This immersive Experience will trace the very locations and moments that forged Panerai’s legendary history, commencing in Florence and then leading participants to retrace the heroic footsteps of the legendary Italian frogmen, exploring their original meeting grounds, training arenas, and diving points at the mouth of the Serchio River.

PAM01729 pairs the historic California dial with a 47mm Bronzo case, a material that comes from the Maison’s maritime legacy. PAM01730 completes the set featuring a 47mm Platinumtech™ case, a decorated hand-wound movement with skeletonized bridges and for the very first time a black circular-brushed dial.

With its brushed steel case and scratch-resistant ceramic bezel, the Submersible Luna Rossa PAM01579 is built for impact, inspired by the uncompromising performance of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team.

The caseback features the historic “Siluro a Lenta Corsa,” engraving, a nod to both Panerai’s heritage and its modern-day alliance with competitive sailing.
