Data protection statement

Richemont International S.A. (hereinafter referred to as “RICHEMONT”), having its registered office at 50, chemin de la Chênaie, CH - 1293 Bellevue/Geneva respectively the data controller, the Group Human Resources department, the processor and screening body responsible for the processing of personal data which is the object of the present statement with regard to inquiries, shall process personal data submitted to RICHEMONT both in paper and electronic form. Applicants may be asked to voluntarily provide their résumé, curriculum vitae or other personal information such as name, email address, postal address, telephone number and other information regarding past employment (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”). The Personal Data provided by applicants or by subjects acting on their behalf is obligatory.

In the event that consent is withheld or Personal Data not provided, RICHEMONT may reject applications, such Personal Data being required to evaluate candidates during the assessment and recruitment process as well as to contact and correspond with them to respond to such applications. Furthermore, should applicants be employed by RICHEMONT, all Personal Data will be incorporated into a Personal Data file and may be used for the purposes of employee administration (including payrolls, pensions, work management and other employee-related matters).

Personal Data is shared within RICHEMONT departments’ and group brands’ for operational reasons (for example, to evaluate applicants suitability). Such Personal Data may also be disclosed to external agencies where RICHEMONT has a legal obligation to inform such agencies and, in the event of employment, to tax departments, loan companies, local authorities, etc.

Furthermore, applicant and/or employee Personal Data may be transmitted to affiliated companies both in Switzerland and abroad, notably those companies within the Richemont Group of Luxury companies.

With respect to the processing of Personal Data carried out by RICHEMONT, applicants and employees maintain the rights granted to Data Subjects in accordance with the terms of the Swiss Data Protection law (RS 235.1 Loi fédérale sur la protection des données (LPD) dated 19th June 1992) and any modification thereto, such as, in particular, the right to receive confirmation as to the existence or non-existence of such Personal Data, the manner in which such Personal Data is used, the right to obtain the communication, in an understandable form, of the processed Personal Data and of their origin, together with information regarding the motives for processing such Personal Data. Applicants may also request that such data is removed should they not be employed or are no longer employed by RICHEMONT, updated or otherwise modified or that such Personal Data be made anonymous.

If applicants do not wish RICHEMONT to use their Personal Data for such purposes, they should not submit their candidacy to RICHEMONT.

The Web Site and database are hosted in Switzerland at RICHEMONT’s technical centre in Fribourg, Switzerland and RICHEMONT will use its best endeavours to ensure that Personal Data is kept secure, in particular, that access to such Personal Data will be secured and password protected at all times, the access profile being made available to the RICHEMONT Data Protection Officer and authorised Group Human Resources personnel only.
