Supply ChainAcross the Group our procurement broadly falls into two main categories:
Whilst the social and environmental impacts of the goods and services we buy often lies outside our direct control, we must have systems in place to ensure that those we do business with adhere to standards for responsible business which are in line with our own. Our approach The approach we have taken to this issue reflects the nature of our supply chain. We can have an influence on those we buy from directly, by sharing our expectations of them, as set out in our Supplier Code of Conduct, and incorporate assessment against the Code into our procurement decisions. Our supply chain is characterised by an emphasis on high quality and specialised products and long-term relationships with our suppliers. We are therefore in a strong position to be able to influence these relationships to promote good practice among our suppliers. ![]() At the same time, responsible sourcing of certain raw materials such as gold and diamonds involves a long and complex supply chain, and requires a partnership approach. Working collaboratively with industry partners means we are more able to effect wider and long-term change in the luxury goods supply chain. Our membership of the Council for Responsible Jewellery Practices (CRJP) is a core part of our efforts. Click here to visit the CRJP website. |
